Mount Rushmore

We started our Trip in Vernal with Rachelle and Dave. It was delightful. The company was great and so was the food, not to mention the hospitality( Wonderful as always). We then continued on through Colorado. First stopping in Stemaboat Springs and on throught the la cache Poudre river. Not actually through the river, just close to it. We stayed the night in Cheyenne, nice accomadations. We ate at a place called litte Philly ( Sorry no picture, It was dark). The food was delicious. We then arrived the next day at our final destination; Mt. Rushmore. It was a pretty amazing sight to see. I enjoyed the skill it took to carve and shape the mountain. It was nice. We then turned for home stopping in Casper WY for the night. The showboat motel. Nice place as well. We had a short jount the next day to Martins Cove. We spent a couple of hours there taking in the pioneer trail and then moved on. Little America provided a nice last stop to eat and refuel. Delightful BBQ beef sandwich, old Little America recipe. Nice to be home. Nice to have time for a vacation. We will put some more pictures of the trip soon.

Updates

He He This probably looks lie a crazy picture to post these two pictures are of Mark's school project for the last two semesters. It is a robot that is supposed to run like a horse with a Chariot. last week they got the opportunity to race them and Kensi and I were able to go watch Marks robot moved but unfortunately crossed the lane into the other robots lane which disqualifies you. It is crazy they have to get this robot to run a figure 8 with out crossing the others lines and with out a remote completely buy itself!! I am amazed what people can do I am so proud of all mark has accomplished and getting through school. Also Mark received an internship this summer that we are way excited about!! We are just trying to figure out how we are going to have two parents with full time jobs and Mark will still be in school! Well I guess we wont be the first to do it so anything is possible!

Sorry the picture is blurry but it kills me Kensi will sit like this with Mark forever and just help him. She pushes the keys and watches the screen! it is so funny!

Kensi always wants to be holding your hand I love it! when she eats and when you are holding her she always wants to be holding you. She is quite a snugly baby with mom and dad!

The Blessing

Kensi was blessed on Sunday 13, 2008 by her father. Mark did a great job at giving her a name and blessing I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful husband! And kensi is glad to have such a great dad!
This dress is an antique is it about 88 years old my great grandmother made it for my grandpa to wear(back when everyone boys and girls wore dresses to be blessed in), then the dress proceeded to my mother who wore it and me who wore it and to my daughter what a plessure to wear such a family treasure to be blessed in!

Kensi and her Aunt Becca. I love this picture because you can see just how blue her eyes actually are.
Kensi is a big fan of helping her dad out with his homework I just don't know how he would do it with out her!! I guess he might actually finish it!! Daddy is doing so great in school we are so proud.

Updates

Just Kensi hanging out.
I was getting ready to put Kensi in the bath and got her robe on, I propped her up and she would not stop smiling she was lovin that robe. She is definitely a girl!!!!!

After her favorite time!! BATH TIME
One of my favorite faces of all time is the pout with the lip turned out.
and she is not so happy, but still loves her grandpa!!!

I struggle with putting the intro at the first so here it is at the end!!!

Well it has been a while since I have posted so we will do a update!! First of all everything is going great with Mark and I. Mark is still trying to actually survive the Engineering program and have a family at the same time, tis not an easy thing to do, but as Mark always does he is pulling through. For me work is good except I decided I hate the politics in nursing. I just want to go to work, take care of people, and go home! is that not easy enough!! And for the favorite member of the family, Kensi is doing great. We had a four month check up this week and we are at a woopin 13 pounds and 11 ounces, up to the 50% in weight and height! She got her shots which she hated and had a rough night but then was fine after that. She is so fun and starting to laugh out loud. I don't think that there is anything that makes me laugh harder than that. She now grabs toys and puts them straight into her mouth and her newest feddish is watching us eat. It cracks me up how she seems to be so mesmerized by eating. Maybe we will start feeding her solids her in a short while.
We are blessing our princess tomorrow and excited to see family and friends for that! We will post pictures of that on Monday. And for those who know the situation with our insurance, we received a letter today saying they will cover it !!!! yeah!!!!!!! we are so happy about that.
Other than the few minute changes everything is pretty much the same I posted some pictures of what we have been up to lately!!

New Hair Cut

Well I went to the salon with intentions of getting a needed haircut. I told her about how long I wanted it and she told me that I had enough to donate. She explained that it might be just a hair shorter than I wanted but I decided to do it! Well next I know by the time they fixed it and it dried WOW it was quite a bit shorter that I had expected, but it is not that bad and every time I have had it short I have not had it styled to I guess I kinda like it. It will take some getting used to but that is okay. And get this Mark does not hate it! well that is at least what he says. I think with the short that I need to go back to blonde what do you think?

The Hunt II Easter Day

We traveled to Morgan on Easter Sunday to participated in another easter egg hunt. We stopped at a few houses on the way to just take a look. The easter ham was wonderful along with the homemade bread and the deviled eggs. Kensi found a couple of eggs with our help. We then had a great evening supporting Mike is his campaign endeavors. Easter is great.

The Hunt

We had a the annual Huntsville Easter Egg hunt today. It was different this year than most because we were minus Grandma Layton and her potato salad. We also had a bit of snow still on the ground. The kids enjoyed as well as the parents. I think. Kensi found a pair of bunny ears and we made her the Easter bunny for about five minutes. It was a good time to be with family and remember what Easter is really about.

St. Patricks Day

We had a great St. Patricks day. It sarted off with Green pancakes and Irish Soda bread. We went to the store about fifteen times because we did not make a list. We topped of the evening with Phil, Becca, and Londyn with colorful meal that included: green Jello, Green Alfredo Sauce, Green Breadsticks and Green cream cheese frosting on our cinnamon rolls. It has been a great first day of spring break. Kensi is already sleeping if you can't tell.
