SHOUT OUT TO THE RN'S

I decided to do a shout out to all Registered Nurses. I am at work and it is currently 3am and I just well a while ago decided that we are an under appreciated profession. It seems like that just because you are a nurse that you are supposed to be nice and wonderful to everyone. Well I know maybe it is just me but I like to hear a THANKS every once in a while. I have worked 5 shifts this week and have I even seen my boss to even think about a thank you NO!!! So I am saying it to all the nurses out there you truly are wonderful people and you all deserve a huge THANKS for all that you do!!!!

I had a patient the other night that passed away while in my care and it was somewhat expected and the family seemed to be okay. but for some reason I had the hardest time. Here family is thanking me and everything and I am using all my might to choke back tears!!! it was then that I grew a new appreciation for the nurses that I work with many nurses were helping me that night and you could tell that a couple of nurses noticed that I was choking back, since nurses are trained to notice everything, and many nurses changed their affect and really appeared concerned that I was about to cry!!!! Man I love nurses I work with so many wonderful ones and I know that even though we have a crapy administration we always have each other. We have worked together through some bad times that only seem to be getting worse, and we still have such a great relationship I love it!!! Aight now those nurses that I work with that actually read this will probably mock me for the rest of my life but seeing how I'm leaving in a month you can just deal with being loved for a minute!!! Well again thanks to all the nurses who work with me, all my friends that are nurses and even all those who I don't know that are blogg hopping right now you are wonderful people who deserve much in all that you do!!!

Home Shoping

Well as many of you know Mark has accepted a job in Flagstaff, Az for GORE as a Mechanical Engineer and we are so excited and proud of him. Mark has worked so hard for our family to get through the impossabilities of school to finally see the end. We are excited to work for this company they truly seem like a great one!! but hunting for a house??

AAAHHHH!! It seems so fun and we have looked for homes ever since we got married but never for this real!!! and I honestly did not think that it would be this stressful. I'm a stressor to some extent but usually just think it will all work out in the end but this has made me sick to my stomach often. The stress of The homes you like being sold, being worried of not finding a good deal, not being able to have enough money for all the down payments and closing costs, all the pre approval crap and many phone calls waiting on hold to talk to someone that is soon to take all your money, and making sure that you find the right neighbor hood for your family and to raise my daughter ( no worries I already looked at the sexual preditors website)!!

Maybe it will be better when we actually go and see the homes I hope so anyway. We are going to flagstaff in a couple of weeks and the late night internet searches will turn into actual homes Crazy how that works. So thanks to all of you out there that warned me how stressful this would be or lack thereof!!!! all I could think of before was what color to paint the walls but that is only if the house is not sold!! He He He sorry for my venting I do feel better now I think that mark has heard enough of my venting continually since we started this so Prayers for us that we do actually find the home that is for us!!! and go a head and give any advice if you would like to!!

Will you be my Valentine???

Okay I know that so many people think that Valentines is a stupid excuse for telling your loved one that you love them and that you should do that on a daily basis. But the thing is we are human and busy at that so I love having a day dedicated to love!!! This is going to be a picture less post because I am at work and I got no picts. I just wanted to send a quick note saying how fortunate I am to have my wonderful husband. We have been married 6 years and so many people told me that since i was married so young that after a couple years I will want to go back to being free and a teenager again, well that is far from the case. Mark is the best thing that I could have ever asked for and more. There is not a day that goes my that I do not feel so fortunate that I have him. He truly is my best friend, we have been through so much together. We have traveled the world together and more important brought a child to this earth. I am so glad that I have been able to do all this with him. Mark I love you so much and am so greatful to have you in my life now and for the much more life there is to come!! The other day I was walking out one of my patients and her husband leaned over to me with such excitment and wispered that he had got her a car for valentines and he could not wait for the expression on her face. Now this couple was both far into their 80's and sure enough when she found out that it was her car she just lit and gave him a kiss it was the cuttest thing ever. I am excited for that so excited to be old with my husband. And mark you had better give me a car for valentines when I am 86 aight. I love you and hope that you will be my valentine!!!!

Sick days

We have had a rough couple of weeks. Kensi had the Flu and now we both have colds. not fun! today we woke up and neither of us felt good so kensi sat and drank a bottle and then slowly we both fell asleep. she origionally fell asleep on me then on Mark then on the ground it so hard to get comfortable when your sick. and yes that tissue is up my nose. I could not get it to stop running.

New years bowling party

Look at them high scores. I only played a half a game then Kensi was ready to go home for a nap.

Go.
Ready and

Kensi loved bowling all though she was a mommies girl.

London extended family Christams party

Grandma and Grandpa london excited to be at the party.
The crazy gift exchange. there were some hot $5 items such as pocket knifes and beef sticks.

The girls Courtney and Gracie arent they adorable. Marks sister adopted them both and they are only a day apart. Then after she adopted the second she found out she was pregnant. Only Liisa could handle that she is a wonderful mother.

Me and Gracie This girl was awesome we would go to everyone and loved everyone. We are sad that she and all the rest have gone back to north Carolina.

The girls again with grandma and Liisa.

Christmas eve party

The manger seene trying to act out the tru meaning of christmas.
Kensi doin a great job at being an angel.

Reading the play and singing many songs.

And the most important part the animals.

Christmas wve was great we ate wonderful finger foods and acted out the manger seene then we sang the 12 days of christmas and opened gifts. Sorry for some reason we did not take many other pictures. but the night was wonderful. We love having the christmas eve party at grandma and grandpa Johansen's. And I mean the seriously Mom!

Christmas morning.

we are already to go and see christmas morning at the London's we line up youngest to oldest on the stairs in preperation to see if Santa came. This is Kensi after being up all night explained later.

Kensi was the first let in because she is the younges that can walk. She immediatly took over gifts.
Our families pile of gifts.

Oh, Christmas tree oh christmas tree
Kensi Taking over Londyn's gifts as well.

Unwrapping was ablast and kensi did great after a few gifts she was done.
The favorite gift after this was unwrapped it was all over she was content with this gift alone.

I made mark be excited about his gifts. see don't you think he looks excited!!!

Sled from Liisa and family we loved it. It's a really nice sled that Kensi loves I'm sure with this snowy winter it will get used.

The night before christmas was different and not only because I had a active child for the first time but because I had a child with the stomach flu. The poor thing was up all night throwing up and was green and pale. I never want to have to go through that again which I'm sure I will but it was so sad to watch my child so tired and sick just lay ther and throw up. By morning she was better but we did accomplish the wish of staying up all night on christmas eve. and Ya know what Santa does exist. We saw him!!! Thankheavens it was a blizzard so after we opened gifts Kensi and I went back to bed. Thanks to Liisa who helped us through the sickness and what to do. For being a mother that is a nurse I sure had no clue. And a big thanks to daddy who stayed up all night just because he was worried. He and liisa also made homade pedialyte so we could get something in her. It was definately an eventful night.
Marry Christmas and sorry about the late post.

Thankful

Alright so I tried to post the many things that I am thankful for around Thanksgiving many times and always seemed to struggle and now considering that is my birthday well it was 2 hours ago and am feeling so special I'll give it another shot. For the last twenty five years I have been so blessed. I have a wonderful family and I have a wonderful husband who also has a wonderful family. My daughter is the world to me and I learned this the last day or so how hard she is to leave. I was impressed with my self that I only called home to check on her 3 times. My wonderful parents took my little girl so that Mark and I could go on a wonderful night out together. Mark is the best at planning dates. He actually left and gave me time to get ready while Kensi slept. Then we went down to the little america and checked in. Which of course they offered an upgrade which of course we took and 700 sq feet of wonderfulness. equip with a huge TV and a double bum tub. It was awesome. next we went to gateway to walk around and of course bought me an entire outfit, my husband egging me on the whole time I love it when he does that. then off to McGraphs I have no idea how to spell that but it was wonderful. for anyone who ever goes there you have to get the Italian cream soda they are to die for and free refills!!! next with our very full bellies on to the movie theatre I had forgotten how much I love the movies. WE went and saw four christmas' and loved it. We both laughed so hard. then walked the lights of temple square and walked back to the hotel it was perfect. I missed my kensi but it was so fun to snuggle up to mark and just walk!! we stopped for hot chocolate and bought a 5$ bag of M&m's I'm pretty sure they had gold in them. back to the hotel for swimming and sleeping in. Thanks to my wonderful hunny who planned such an incredible night and again thanks to my parents who by watching Kensi made it possible. So that was my birthday celebration on my real b-day I did a chocolate tasting and I slept then mark made me wonderful sandwich which he now calles the jessica. The entire day was All wonderful accept getting yelled at at work by an angry day shift nurse but to be expected with him!!!!!!!! He He anywayThanks to everyone that called and those of you that didn't, good effort!! I am now 25 years old and still loving every minute of life!!!!!!!
